On February 20, 2006, J-Pacific terminated its lease with an option to purchase agreement with KM Exploration Ltd. on the HC and RC properties. Thus J-Pacific no longer has an interest the projects. The information found on these pages is for historical purposes only.

Location

The HC Property is strategically located approximately three miles southeast of the Buckhorn Mine, on the prolific Battle Mountain/Eureka Gold Trend in northern Nevada, a state that ranks third in gold production after South Africa and Australia.

Overview

The HC Property is held 100% by J-Pacific Gold Inc. and consists of 119 unpatented mining claims, 20 of which are under a renewable lease option agreement and 99 that were staked by J-Pacific.

The HC prospect presents a Rain-like gold deposit discovery opportunity.Ê It occurs on the eastern upthrown side of a high angle fault where small scale doming has exposed mudstones interpreted to be Mississippian Webb Formation. These rocks had been mapped as Vinini Formation by previous workers. This stratigraphic interpretation puts the Webb – Devils Gate contact, a regionally important site for gold deposits, at a relatively shallow depth along the eastern side of the high angle fault. Previous drilling has been limited to a few shallow holes - only one of which penetrated the upper portion of the Webb Formation. All other holes were drilled the western, downthrown side of the structure. An examination of the cuttings from these holes indicates that neither Webb nor autochthonous carbonate units were intersected in any of them. It is noteworthy that moderate but extensive sulfidation occurred in Woodruff on this side of the structures. Previous drilling may have been targeted by using IP.

Several gold occurrences are located along this structural zone and the Webb formation cuttings and exposures are locally silicified and contain barite veinlets. Sulfidation is widespread. The geochemical signature includes weak antimony, arsenic and mercury anomalies as well as silver, zinc, chromium, nickel and molybdenum which are characteristic of the gold deposits in the Rain Subdistrict on the Carlin Trend.

History

Work on the property by previous operators was limited to a few reverse circulation drill holes focused to the west of the current target area. The Company has no information concerning the timing or people responsible for this work. J-Pacific acquired the HC Property in June 2002 and is the first company to test this newly identified "Rain Type" environment.

Geochemical studies conducted in 2004 defined a strong Au-Hg geochemical anomaly associated with a northwesterly trending fault. The primary target is gold-bearing breccias developed at the geologically projected contact of the Webb and Devil's Gate formations along the upthrown eastern side of this "feeder" structure. In late 2004, a reverse circulation hole (HC04-1) intersected hydrothermally altered, locally calcareous siltstones and quartzites of the Woodruff Formation, ending at 1367 feet (417 metres). Alteration was primarily silicification, but iron-rich dolomite veining was present locally. Geochemically, HC04-1 was very encouraging, as a mineralized interval was intersected from 360 to 470 feet (110 to 142 metres) with strongly anomalous gold values up to 234 ppb. Also strongly anomalous were mercury, arsenic, molybdenum and zinc values, which correlate well with the gold distribution, and are indicators of the targeted Rain-style mineralization.
